Aim of the conference: The general aim of the conference is to present and discuss problems related to air pollution by ships and harbours and its impact on air quality in coastal residential areas
Main topics:
- Emissions at and around harbours, including ships, storage and goods handling
- Air quality observations in the vicinity of harbours
- Meteorological modelling (land sea breeze, weather forecasting) for coastal urban areas
- Air quality modelling in coastal residential areas
- Air quality problems in coastal cities
- Environmental impact assessment: Air pollution management and decision support systems
Important deadlines:
one page abstract should be received by 15 March 2005
confirmation for acceptance of contributions will be made 15 April 2005
eight-page extended abstract to be included in the conference proceedings should be submitted at the conference venue
