Editorial

Dear EURASAP members

This newsletter contains a comprehensive paper by Serguei SEMENOV and Gregory INSAROV from the Institute of Global Climate and Ecology on LARGE-SCALE AIR POLLUTION AND CLIMATE CHANGE IMPACTS ON TERRESTRIAL ECOSYSTEMS IN RUSSIA and another glance back to the EURASAP Workshop on Biomonitoring held in 2001.

The links and collaboration of EURASAP with other international organizations within the scope of EURASAP is in the current Newsletter again encouraged by the Discussion note of Prof. Peter Builtjes, the Chairman of EURASAP and the Chairman of the Scientific steering committee of EUROTRAC.

Starting with this Newsletter issue, the EURASAP Membership form will not be published in each newsletter. There was advice to the Editor that publishing the form every time is misleading. The form will be always available on the Internet and will be mailed to you only once per year. Following the EURASAP Committee decision the membership fees for 2002 are slightly increased. The fees are given both in pounds and EURO, but some more time is needed for opening EURASAP account in EURO in the UK. Please, use the old way of paying by credit cards or cheques in pounds until the opening of the new account is announced in the Newsletter.

Wishing you very happy and successful year 2002!

The EURASAP Committee
