Third International Conference on
"Large-scale Scientific Computations"

June 6-10, 2001, Sozopol, Bulgaria

Following the already established tradition, Adolf Ebel from the University of Cologne, Krassimir Georgiev from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Zahari Zlatev from the National Environmental Research Institute of Denmark are organizing a special session on "Large-scale Computations in Air Pollution Modelling" at the Third International Conference on Large-scale Scientific Computations. Many specialists working with air pollution models are expected to attend this session, to present their latest results and to discuss topics of common interests. There will be possibilities to talk about different computational aspects with leading specialists in scientific computing. As a rule this event bring together numerical mathematicians, engineers, physicists, chemists, etc. working in the field of high-performance computing and its application to solve scientific and industrially oriented problems. It provides a forum for the participants (more than 80 coming from 18 countries in Europe, Asia and America during the previous meeting in 1999) to meet and exchange ideas of common interest in an informal atmosphere.

More details about this conference and the previous in the row can be found on the conference web-site: http://copern.bas.bg/Conferences/SciCom01.html. Specialists who are interested in participating the meeting may contact the organizers at the following e-mail addresses: georgiev@parallel.bas.bg and Deadline for abstracts: January 15, 2001.
