Editorial

Dear EURASAP members

In the present issue you will find a story about the life of scientists during a field (in this case urban) experimental campaign written by Sven-Erik Gryning. We all know that bringing together groups from many countries makes the time of the experiment different than anything else and the spirit of the event is highly motivating. The Swiss hosts from the University of Basel and University of Zurich made the BUBBLE experiment really enjoyable in addition to all the successful scientific objectives that were met. Later in the EURASAP Newsletter more BUBBLE information might come. Also, if you wish to share description, results or other thoughts on meteorological filed experiments, please use to opportunity given by the EURASAP Newsletter.

In the present issue you can also read about the very successful combination of scientific, training and management work that is concentrated at the University of Madrid by the group of Prof. Roberto San Jose.

An example of a regional project for the Balcan countries is given by Mr. Sasho Manasov from FYROM. It concerns water management and also reflects the priorities in funding policies. The water supply and management are very closely connected to meteorology but this is not proportionally seen in funded projects.
