Editorial Note

The EURASAP Committee met in London on March 3, 2000. The agenda of the meeting included discussion of the objectives and current activities of EURASAP.

In summary, EURASAP continues to organise small workshops on specific topics, to support participation of EURASAP members in other conferences, and to publish the newsletter. The information and communication via Internet will be further developed. A procedure to elect new committee members will be started this year. The EURASAP membership can be now paid by credit card.

All committee members presented their thoughts on the future topics within the science of air pollution. The direction of the air pollution studies towards the effects on plants and human health, and the domination of climate research in meteorology were pointed out.

Helen and Roy have organised perfectly the meeting at Imperial College and the weather in London was beautiful on that day.
